Self-care and spiritual health

Spiritual health means many things to many people. Much of what supports physical, mental and emotional health also maintains our spiritual health. Whatever belief system (religious or spiritual) you consider, investigate the kinds of support you can receive from your community. It is important for all of us to discover and stay connected to our spiritual self.

You might want to add some quiet time to your day to help you to collect your thoughts. Relaxation exercises or simple meditation techniques can work for you. Others find rejuvenation in natural settings, like the garden, a park or on the beach. Take the time to reach out and connect with those who give you energy when you feel the need. There is strength and clarity outside as well as inside of you. Whatever your belief or the technique you use, find that peace within yourself -one day at a time.
